How can I change which WBFS partition the USB Loader starts with. I have two on my drive and it always starts with the smallest and I want it to start with the biggest?

I have 2 partitions on my external hard drive. One is the WBFS for the Wii games to load to, the other is currently a FAT32. I want the downloaded pictures to save to the FAT32 partition. Where do I make this change to get it away from the sd card?
Set covers_path to something pointing on the usb:/ drive.
covers_path = usb:/covers
That will make the other cover path option update too (look up the option to see how).
In config.txt, just as the page this discussion page is linked from describes. The easiest way to make the change is with the Configurator. Read your existing config.txt, find the covers_path option and change its value to usb:/blah/wherever and generate config.txt again. Alternatively, just edit the file in a text editor to add those lines.
Hello, I am tiring to add the carousel option but it fails to change. The other options work. Can you give me suggestions?
File config location, H:\usb-loader
theme = BlueMatrix
profile_names = default
gui = start
gui_transition = fade
gui_style = carousel
gui_rows = 1
clock_style = 12am
confirm_start = 0
device = usb
cover_style = 3d
Thank you for the help and all the nice work you do!
Thanks for the fast response. My settings.cfg file is a unreadable format for me to manual edit.
Also in the Configurator, I find no entry for "gui_mode" to change to carousel.
I had saved the file above with global options and overrode all the settings but gui_style and gui_rows.
I think I'm missing something simple.
Under Game Settings, Yes it is always GUI_Style=flow and GUI_Rows=2 after I change them and save Global Options. I exit and then reload to check the file and it is not overwritten always the same.
OK, if I read just the existing settings.cfg it's still correct, but when config is read the settings are reverted?
There are 6 options that can appear in settings.cfg. These are theme, profile, device, partition, gui_style and gui_rows. Those options are stored there whenever you save the global options in the global options menu. When present, they have priority over config.txt. Hence there is no way to edit config.txt to change those options if they are in settings.cfg. The Configurator will both read and write settings.cfg, and you can change gui_style to a different value (e.g. carousel), or untick it to remove it from settings.cfg. You will need to generate settings.cfg via the "Generate settings.cfg" button or the "File…Save settings.cfg" menu option.
Alternatively, start Cfg, change the GUI to carousel mode with D-down, push 1 twice to access global options then push 2 to save. Global options will be saved and Cfg will edit settings.cfg for you to add "gui_style=carousel".
i want to lock all menu options with a pass combo is that possible and if yes how
my kid plays alot with settings so i liked to black all settings
if only covers could be viewable and no menu would be great
Check out the disable_* options. disable_options in particular. They are unlocked by the admin_password which is BUDAH12 by default. Search for those options on this page for more info.
It's currently not mentioned in the above descriptions, but there is also some new values for the gui option. gui=2 will totally disable the GUI Menu but you still have access to the console options menu by pushing 1 (after holding 1 to enter the password if you also use disable_options).
ok but i only want the games displayed for the kids and if i need to do something i unlock with a password so what do i need to mark and what not
As I just said, you would add:
to config.txt. Use the Configurator to make that easier to do. The default password is BUDAH12 (B,Up,Down,A,Home,1,2) and to get the unlock menu up to enter the password, you hold button 1.
what do i have to add to let it go back to cfg menu when try rebooting
