I have installed most programs in the guide presented on this site up to the step with the USB-loader (and some more programs in later steps, but I think that might be irrelevant). Also, I am using wii backup manager and not this GParted thing. I have been playing games from the USB loader and a hard drive for quite a while without any problems. Today I was playing no more heroes 2, and after a battle a loading screen appeared. This screen was on for maybe 50 seconds, and I decided to restart my wii since nothing was happening. However, nothing happened while doing that either so I switched it off.
I then turned it on again and tried to use my USB loader. It seemed it couldn't find my hard drive and the timer went out. I plugged the hard drive into my computer to see if it could be read. At first it loaded a lot and was very slow. Then, after a few minutes, the speed suddenly seemed to be normal. I plugged it out and in again, and the speed seemed to be normal. However, it took a lot of time for wiibackup manager to load the hard drive before the content could be viewed. I plugged my hard drive into the wii again.
Now, I can use my USB loader to get to the screen with all my games. The weird thing is that all games appear together with the channels normally present only at the wii menu, like miichannel and previously downloaded games. When I try to play a game from the hard drive, the screen just blackens and nothing happens after I have clicked (play). Other than this, the wii works normally and I can play the games I have previously payed for and so on. I am curious to know if someone else have encountered the problem and knows what is going on and what is best for me to do? To me at seems like there's something weird with the hard drive I am loading my games from, and I hope there's nothing wrong with the programs or the wii software.
